Free Sweaters and No Nail Day This Month

Come check out our “Adopt-A-Kennel” program where our local individuals and businesses can show the community their support for our area’s homeless animals. This month’s (FEBRUARY) Adopt-A-Kennel is in memory of Carol Bridgman. Carol, a very special lady who would quickly point out that animals do speak. She would quickly point out that Dogs comfort us by resting their head on your lap when you cry, Cats use their gentle purr to quiet your anxieties and help your tired heart… And these were just part of how they speak to us. A very special thanks to all of our sponsors for their continuing support. It’s the perfect way to honor someone or memorialize them by adopting a kennel in their name. Call us for more information or visit our website www.mccookhumanesociety.com for more information and to fill out a form online. You can also sponsor an adoption for one of our available pets if you’d like to help out in that way.

NOT UGLY SWEATERS, just free ones. It’s that time of year… with the cold weather upon us, we’ve got our annual Free Sweater Giveaway going on. We don’t want to see any of our furry friends going without that extra protection, so drop on by and grab a free sweater from the basket.

We will not be hosting a Nail Day in February, Cupid’s helpers will be busy helping at all of the other wonderful community events. Hope to see you there, supporting our awesome community.

Don’t forget to “Like” us on Facebook, Instagram or check us out on TikTok to keep up to date on all of the upcoming fun events, job openings and fundraisers and when checking out our website, make sure you check out our section featuring our Up To The Minute Pet Listings!

Did ya know… Cupid’s here and it’s a good time to remember that while holidays are a good time for celebrating (this one to celebrate your sweetheart), pets don’t always know what can be dangerous for them to eat or drink. That box of chocolate that you surprised your sweetheart with? Well, someone else loves that chocolate, too, but instead of satisfying his sweet tooth, he could become very sick, or even worse, from eating the chocolate. We are talking about your dog, your favorite furry family member. Our pets have a knack for getting into mischief, but it is up to us to keep them safe. It’s safest to keep all chocolate and candies out of our pets reach.

Maybe you’re thinking think that the perfect gift would be a fluffy new kitty or a cute little furkid. While the choice of which furry friend would be best left up to the receiver, as they would want to fall in love with their new best furry friend… we offer gift certificates for that reason. What a perfect way to win over someone’s heart!
